#PacePlasticPollution Campaign
 

This marketing project is aimed to reduce the one-time-use plastic in the Pace Community. Our team created various marketing methods such as QR codes and social media posts to bring awareness both online and offline.

My Role : Came up with idea of using QR code to raise awareness & promoted on various social media outlets

Process : Research - Plan - Validate

Quantitative and Qualitative Research

Recruited Pace community members who lived in the dormitory setting. Eight-question survey was completed by 12 students and in-person interviews conducted for 3 students.

Key Insights

Community members did care about sustainablity yet 50% of them responded that they didn't want to actively act on it. We also figured out from our qualitative research that people don't see or feel the importance of sustainability. Therefore, we focus on bringing up more attention to sustainability.

Set Up Marketing Plan Through Media

Based on the target age, the plan will be to focus on connecting online campaigns to the physical products used in real life. We decided to produce stickers and put them on the water bottles and other plastic products. 

Validate the Plan

Conducting the plan using different marketing method to raise awareness for the Pace community. Stickers and QR code with instructions for this campaign will be in the cafeteria and dorms.
